Paper Chandelier Workshop with Sutherland Library

I made my debut as a teacher!

It was one of the most fun nights I have had in a VERY long time!
If there is one thing that makes me happy its making, and add making with others to the mix and actually getting paid to make and I'm over the moon!

Last week was my Sustainable Crafting workshop with Sutherland Shire Library, the workshops have been running over the last month or two with some fabulous classes on offer, quilt making with scrap fabric, refashioning old clothing into wearable pieces, Terrarium making and so much more.

My class was set to make one of my Beautiful Paper Chandeliers using recycled papers, books etc and sustainable and recycled pretty bits and pieces. We all had such a ball, the class was a sell out and I chatted and drank tea with 12 of the nicest ladies I've met in a long time.
The 2 hour class was so successful we went a little over time and nearly got locked in the libaray after close!! I was really inspired by all the colour combinations and shapes that my class used to create thier Chandeliers and have come back to my creative practice with all sorts of ideas and inspiration.

To all the ladies that joined me on the night a HUGE thank you for making it such a wonderful experience and also MASSIVE Thanks to Sutherland Libaray and staff for having me on the night!

Hopefully there will be some more My Handmade Heart workshops on the horizon later in the year!!
